This app is utter rubbish. I am really disappointed. I am a big fan of Seagate and have bought their drives over the years because of reliability and speed. I am currently in another country and trying to connect to my drive back in the US and it wouldnt. What is the point of having a cloud drive if you cant connect to it remotely? I was able to login to my PersonalCloud successfully but yet cant view my files. This doesnt make sense. The app also has buffering issues, streaming is poor, file sharing doesnt work properly (only a portion of the picture downloads) and the list goes on. This app, the Mac and PC apps and the drive itself needs a total revamp. They are not ready for prime time. I should have just paid for the extra OneDrive storage.

I am disappointed with seagate backup and this app . If you save photos from your camera to your phone then put them on your seagate backup you will not be able to view them. The support staff for seagate is everything but supportive, ( n my opinion)while they did listen to my problem they offered zero solutions.

My first impressions are very good. Since this is a wireless product I called sea gate support. I got right through and I had a happy tech support and we went through the wireless set up which was straight forward and the basic operating instructions. Its fast in uploading files. The thing I love about this drive you can up load most any type files. I have a iPad and there are some type of files that apple wont allow to be downloaded. Those type of files some music files, video files. Most documents should have no problem.

Glad I bought this unit, my wife had just backed up before she lost her phone which had 3k pics on it!!!

My wife and I used our seagate primarily as backup and storage for mobile photos because we have four kids. Since we both updated our apps, mine works, my wifes does not. She cannot connect to our drive whether on the home network or otherwise. Awful. Went from great experience to awful. PLEASE FIX. It cant be THAT difficult if you really want to. Seeing how long its been, you must not want to. UPDATE: after the drive being unused for approximately a year because of non-connectivity, Ive been told its somehow been corrupted (when we ONLY used the sea hate app to transfer iPhone pics and videos) and now weve spent 100s of dollars on a doorstop, and need to spend MORE MONEY to get the family pictures off this useless item. DO NOT BUY SEAGATE PRODUCTS. It worked for a few months and was a headache ever since. Huge waste of money and potentially a huge waste of memories.

I have been patiently waiting for an app to make this not a complete waste of my money, HA!!! Thought the last update would work, disappointed AGAIN!!! Now Ive lost a large amount of photos.....poof. Seriously considering a large hammer to this device. Complete waste of my money, havent gotten any use out of this piece of crap from day 1.

Its archaic. Needs to be updated ASAP. I love my wireless drive. Works perfectly, when viewing things on my mobile devices through app though, it is THE worst experience ever. Theres no search. Folders are not shown correctly. Indexing files is incorrect. Never shows any prompts/notes saying things uploaded correctly or incomplete. There can be SO many more features in this app, be more streamlined to work with devices but Seagate never updates. So fed up with this app.

App doesnt recognize most of my photos or anything else on my iPhone. So I cant transfer anything to the personal cloud without downloading it to a computer first which defeats the purpose of a cloud. Which also was a super PITA to setup on a windows computer. Personal cloud is headed back to Amazon.

I like the app but it takes so long for a photo to fully load when I want to view it on the app! Also if I turn my phone to view the picture in landscape half of the picture isnt viewable. The scaling is wrong!

I am a soldier in the Army, I was recently deployed overseas when I got this drive. I also purchased an iPad with the lowest memory. My thought process was that I can have somewhere to store my movies instead of on my iPad. Well, a year later I literally store everything on my drive and leave it at home for my home network. I watch movies from the drive on my Smart TV. Auto upload pictures from my iPhone. Then when I recently updated the app, I decided to try the Dropbox upload as well. Even better decision. Now I can access all my files from anywhere in the world without having to have the drive with me. Allowing me to move quickly and store files on Dropbox and having them for safekeeping when I get home right on my hard drive.

Great addition to all my tech devices.

Ill know more later. I was prompted to review so here I am. I was confused as to all the sample photos and videos that are on my phone but will hopefully figure it out. But its pretty cool to access video from my MacBook to my iPhone via the personal cloud.

Latest version works fine as picture backup. A couple of thumbnails show up as upside down but right themselves when opened. Remote access setup is tricky and needs better instructions on setup (including Tappen license limits) and trouble shooting, e.g. Sea gate Central off line according to Tappen web portal yet remote access is selected still on.

This app used along with the Seagate wireless plus works great and is fairly easy to use. I now have a MEDIA server that I keep in my briefcase.

Great way to take moves out on the road easy way to back up your movies pictures and your logs. Using you computer to put movies on it allow to save room on your phone for other things.

Since updating to iOS 10 photos do not appear centered like iOS 9. My iPad and iPhone turned to landscape puts the photos off to the side and cropped. Needs to be update for iOS 10 quickly to keep people using your software!

Great storage and filing system. Now I have all the pictures and movies of all my laptops and desktops backed up in my Seagate disc and it is easily accessible thanks to this app in my iPhone and iPad. Keep up the good work.

Love using this app

I like the brighter layout, loading huge music libraries kinda kicks the apps but. Still waiting for some sort of rating system for better playlist if this is possible. Like I said its getting better, just keep improving. Update.. Awesome updates. 4 1/2 stars. A music eq maybe a bit much to ask but if the app gets one it will 100 percent replace my laptop for playing music
