In iOS 8 or later, streaming itunes purchases is no longer supported. If you purchased the drive with the sole purpose of being able to stream your content your out of luck. Seagate should have worked with Apple to keep that functionality. Its rendered my purchase of their drive worthless unless I dump Apple products all together. Since nobody is going to keep an older version of the O/S on all their devices its pointless for Seagate to point it out. I guess on the bright side I have a new paper weight.

Worthless without capability to stream iTunes movies (iOS 8+). Waited months for upgrade to fix this.....same old lame excuse!

I bought the mobile wireless device after transferring my purchased music to this device, se agate media app. Would not play said music, very disappointed. Shame on you both for miss leading customers. Apple and Seagate. Thanks for nothing. Live and learn!

I buy TV series on eBay and record them to my sea gate hard drive. Then download hem to my iPad for viewing later on. Works great, I dont use this to do anything with iTunes so I cant knock it for that lose of functionality.

Please fix the app

My bad for not reading the reviews. Bought device in an Apple Store at the advice of Apple employee and NOW I find out the streaming does not work. Shame on you Apple.

Do not purchase Seagate Personal Cloud. App does NOT access the items in your cloud at all. It only shows sample files from app. It blows!

Its taken awhile but this app has improved the functionality of the seagate wireless drive immensely. Still learning new things that can be done.

All I need is ability to stream from an MP3 library located on my Seagate NAS. This app is very buggy and unreliable. Currently, Im struggling to get it to display songs in Track order (i dont usually listen to album tracks in alphabetical order) and I cant stand the fact that its indexing is not intelligent enough to sort artist names that begin with "The". So for something like the Beatles, the Who, the Shins, etc... one will find them all in a big lump in the T section. This is a very amateurish app.

Maybe its time for a class action lawsuit. What right does Apple have to determine where we save our media files? How does Apple expect the consumer to continue to purchase videos from iTunes if they are going to dictate where our media is stored. I know I am changing my buying habits. This has nothing to do with Digital Media Rights and everything to go with greed on the part of Apple. How long should the consumer put up with this?

Needs to support multitasking.

My PC has crashed and nothing makes me happier then knowing ALL my stuff on a mobile hard drive. My own cloud. Can access anywhere on the world!!!

This has got to be the most useless app that I have ever downloaded on my phone. I absolutely love seagate portable hard drives. Ive owned many for years and have been very reliable and great, so I expected the same when I bought my seagate wireless and got this app. The hard drive itself and the system it has going on isnt terrible but the app is just the worst. I wish I could say that I loved it but on this one WD My Cloud has you guys beat by a long shot.

I hate this app. So much. Got a seagate wireless hard drive specifically to help me store & manage photos from my iPad. Unfortunately, its set up so that I need this app to do that, and even more unfortunately, this app (the ONLY app available for said purpose) is a complete joke. Its utterly useless. Its frustrating. It turns what should be a simple, straight forward process into a confusing mess of hopelessly jumbled data. It refuses to do what its told, & than it turns around & does things it was never told to do, & then it refuses to erase its own mistakes. I hate it. So much. Now I have to connect my iPad to my computer which then manages the hard drive, which means I could have just got a normal external hard drive and it would have been just the same, if not much more straightforward. Id like to throw this app on the floor and stomp on it while screaming obscenities. Makes my expensive hard drive purchase seem pretty pointless. Meh.

For the price I paid for this personal cloud and the options it provides is quite frankly the best on the market currently. Beats the Western Digital cloud by a landslide!

The latest version has been crashing and then working and then crashing again. App used to work flawlessly but now not so much. I hope you guys get this figured out soon

Beware!!! I used to sing Seagates praises until recently when I discovered that I can no longer stream my iTunes files that I own to my own devices which was the entire reason I even purchased the drive!! There was no warning,no notification sent to the users at all! So all of the consumers who wasted our money buying Seagates products they just hung us all out to dry and they dont offer you any solution, just basically that your portable hard drive is now a worthless paperweight. Unfortunately I also just bought my father one of these for the exact same reason that I did which is so that I can save space on my iPhone and my iPad because I have so many movies to store. So buyers and users beware that if you have Apple devices apparently Seagate no longer cares about us as consumers because theyve already gotten our money; so FYI investigate another avenue but do not purchase any of the Seagate wireless hard drives! This is now a useless app taking up space on my phone because theres nothing I can do with it seeing as how my devices are made by Apple. So disappointed in what I used to think was a quality company.

I have a seagate network drive. Whenever new content is added it takes anywhere from a day to three days for this app to be able to access any video content stored on the drive. The VLC app, as an example, is always able to access video content on the server. One would think the manufacturer would be able to produce an app that works with their own product.

I not a 5tb wireless hd. My laptop was on its last leg so we decided to replace it with a couple of surface laptops. Since the surfaces dont have a lot of hard drive space we figured getting the network hard drive would be perfect in order to store files and make it easier for multiple devices to share files. Also I love the fact that my iPhones can now connect to the hard drive as well whether it is on the local network or when Im out side our network. So far its worked like a champ and I have no complaints
