Seagate Media App gives you access to your photos, videos, music, and documents stored on compatible Seagate storage devices. Quickly and easily browse your digital library with a classic file/folder view, thumbnails, or using a range of filters.

• Access your media library stored on a Seagate Wireless device – no Internet connection required
• Access content stored on your Seagate Personal Cloud device from any available Wi-Fi or 3G/4G connection. Enter your username and password in the “Remote Access" tab when outside of your home network.
• Create, edit, and save files directly to/from your Seagate Wireless/Plus and Personal Cloud (local-only) devices using compatible 3rd party apps
• Synchronize your files on popular cloud services like Dropbox (requires Internet connection and only available on Wireless Plus)
• Backup pictures and videos automatically from your mobile device

Pros and cons of Seagate Media app for iPhone and iPad

Seagate Media app good for

After initial difficulty which was probably due to lack of computer savvy, the Fuel works well and has expanded the iPad capacity to match my iMac. Only criticism is the battery doesnt last as long as the iPad battery.

This app need to an update for iOS 9. Please dont forget your customer.

I found the app extremely easy to navigate out of the box. No difficulties at all setting up on three iPads and two iPhones and streaming to them all. Easy.

Drag iTunes files to seagate hardrive to save content, then download app "Player Extreme". When you attempt to play movies on Seagate transferred from iTunes, Player Extreme opens them in compatible format- works perfect.

Everything work just fine with this software. One thing is missing... I would like to be able to read my epub files. I can read my videos, my pdf files, my musics, but not my ibooks...

The New Auto upload feature moves pictures automatically to Seagate . Great addition.

Some bad moments

I only use because I have the hardware. There are a lot of bugs. Seagate please contract a new design please. the hardware is good, but the application is bad.

App ran for a few hours; now wont pass the startup screen. Tried reinstalling, still doesnt work. How am I supposed to use the wireless drive if the app wont even load?

Not intuitive at all Pretty slow From design, not even mention! The seagate wi-fi disc never worked properly. Just cause frustration and time. Big disappointment... :-(( Well I better stop here /-)

As long as there is no solution for the iTunes purchased movies problem the app is completely useless. I only have iTunes purchased video material and "working on a soltution" is acceptable for maybe 1-2 or even 4 weeks but not several months.

You buy a wireless-device for wireless work?! But, oh sorry: Only with cable-connection (without this app) to mac/pc things run smooth... This device in wireless-mode is a waste of time... And why t f is there a window popping up each 10 minutes "please rate this app". So, now you have my rating... Have fun!

This app is for a hard-drive that you connect with your phone. Every day it asks me to rate the app, when I click "one star", it will open my email programme so I can send my critique to Seagate. Only now when I clicked 5 stars in the app, I can weite this reciew, and I will give it few stars. The app is slow and clumsy, so I cannot properly use it...
